Poker Run

Hi everyone,
For those of you who do not follow the SLA Facebook page copied below is the posting regarding the Poker Run from Natasha:

“It was a wonderful day on Sydenham lake! Congratulations to all of the participants of the 1st annual Sydenham Lake Poker Run! A whopping $250 will be donated to South Frontenac Community Services; we should all be proud. Our lucky winners are: Meredith and Jared Kunza (1st place), Tracey and Steve Jackson (2nd place) and Lisa Bowden (3rd place). We are all very fortunate to live in such a wonderful community. “If you’re lucky enough to live on the lake, you’re lucky enough.” Until next year my friends….”

Thanks again to Jeff Bennett, Candice Laframboise and Natasha Buchanan for organizing the event, to all who spent time as our host docks and to all who participated!

Sydenham Lake Dam Operations – Update #2

Pasted below is the message I received today from the CRCA regarding water levels.
Mark Schjerning
President, Sydenham Lake Association

Hi Mark,

Just wanted to give you an update on some recent dam ops that we are doing. The level at Sydenham has been dropping fairly quickly so we plan on dropping a half log back into the dam on Thursday to slow the decline in hopes we don’t have another significant storm in the near future. We will hold the lake steady until we get ready to set the levels for the winter.

We are keeping a close eye on the levels throughout the watershed as it has been a difficult year.

Thanks, if you have any questions please ask.

Steve
